Classic Cheeseburger Recipe
Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for optimal juiciness)
• 4 slices of cheddar cheese
• 4 hamburger buns, toasted
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper
• 1 small onion, sliced
• Lettuce leaves
• Tomato slices
• Ketchup and mustard
• Pickles
Instructions:
1. Prep Patties: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form each into a patty. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
2. Cook Burgers: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
3. Add Cheese: Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
4. Assemble the Cheeseburgers: On the toasted buns, layer lettuce, the cheese-topped patty, onion slices, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
5. Serve: Serve your Classic Cheeseburger immediately, accompanied by your favorite sides like fries or a salad.
